Dr. Vikisha Fripp

Vikisha Fripp, MD is a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Women’s Health Advocate. She is a natural leader and has been recognized as such throughout her life. Dr. Fripp graduated from Fisk University and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She then completed her General Surgery training at Howard University Hospital and completed her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at the prestigious Cornell University- New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Fripp practices in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland at JAMACHI PLASTIC SURGERY. She is also the Supervising Physician at EVERBODY with locations in DC, Maryland and Virginia.
She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Her primary surgical interests are body contouring, non-surgical treatment for the face, eyes and neck with Botox, dermal fillers, microdermabrasion and chemical peels and anti-aging skin care. She establishes a relationship with each patient so that they work together to achieve the patient’s goals.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Fripp is a member of the class of 2013 Leadership Greater Washington and supports several organizations that share her passion for children, literacy and health promotion. She is also an active, Silver Star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Dr. Fripp lives in the Georgetown suburb of Washington, DC with her dynamic, outgoing teenage daughter and handsome, kid and energetic twin sons. She is an avid runner having run both domestically and internationally completing 3 full marathons and numerous half marathons. She is the author of “The Other Side of Happy” about her journey to being one of a few African American female Plastic Surgeons in the country and how she found happiness outside of her career. She enjoys reading nonfiction, world history, outdoor activities with her children and traveling the world.

CHUKWUEMEKA A ONYEWU MD

Born in Washington DC, Dr. Onyewu graduated from Boston University Cum Laude at the age of 19. He then attended Boston University School of Medicine as a Commonwealth Scholar, graduating in 1990. He completed his General Surgery residency at Howard University hospital under Dr. Lasalle Leffall, earning both Intern of the year and Chief Resident of the year awards. Dr. Onyewu worked as a Trauma Surgeon for a year at DC General Hospital before completing a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital under Dr. Scott Spear, a past President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Onyewu became a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery in 1997.

When asked about his medical philosophy, he replied “you must be a person first and then a doctor”. He is passionate about helping those less fortunate and has been on over 27 medical missions worldwide. Dr. Onyewu is married with three children. He enjoys golfing, art work and writing both humor and fiction stories.
