Buttock augmentation or gluteoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct defects or enhance the aesthetic of the buttocks. The main focus point of the surgery is enlarging the contour of the buttocks. This can be done in a few ways. One way is surgical emplacement of a gluteal implant to enhance the size and contour of the back side. Another is liposculpture or the transfer of fat plus liposuction to enhance and smooth. This is often called the “Brazilian Butt Lift.”

Patients of buttock augmentation have commonly experienced sagging in the buttock area due to aging or pregnancy or simply want their backside to be more prominent. • Local or general anesthesia is given. You will be under for approximately 2 hours. (Local is used for smaller surgeries)
• A midline incision is made near the tailbone
• Depending on the procedure
  • The implants are placed inside the body
  • Fat is harvested from another part of the body and injected into the buttocks
• You go home the same day with pain medication and a compression garment to contain swelling

After surgery, you have to avoid sitting directly on the buttocks and laying on your back for two to three weeks. Most patients return to work within two weeks and resume normal activities in four weeks. Your natural curves will be enhanced and volume and roundness will be added to the buttocks. Past patients have reported a vast improvement it their self esteem and left them feeling better than ever.
